About the event
“Join us to explore how peer support can transform recovery for people living with the effects of traumatic brain injury. Learn how to recognize the hidden impacts of TBI, connect survivors with meaningful support, and offer practical strategies that restore hope and resilience. Together, we can make sure no one faces recovery alone.”
Key Realities of TBI & Recovery
Many people make good physical recoveries from moderate to severe TBIs — especially when the injury happens young — but that doesn’t mean the impact ends there.
Multiple mild TBIs (concussions) across a lifetime can create significant cumulative effects.
Symptoms are often misdiagnosed or misunderstood by providers, leaving survivors without the right support.
Survivors may never connect their TBI history to the emotional, cognitive, or behavioral challenges they face later in life.
