About the event

Youth in Transition is an 8-hour in-person training with a focus on youth and how to best serve the younger populations. Come learn how to best connect and assist youth (ages 16-26) who are transitioning into adult living. We all know the challenges of transitioning into paying bills, selecting career choices, and making responsible choices to navigate life on our own. YIT training is a great start to prevention and is a vital aspect of CPSS engagement with struggling youth. 8 CEUs will be available for General CPSS in Utah .Please note that is there is not at least 10 people signed up the training will have to be postponed to the next month.

On June 14th 2017 a dream was born & Utah’s Association of Peer Support Specialists was founded by Peers for Peers, with the belief that a united Peer support workforce is essential to the continued success of all we/you do for the Mental health and Substance use populations of Utah. Our goal is to help you foster an environment where individuals in recovery can find the support they need to thrive, and where peer support specialists are empowered with the Self-care, resources and training necessary to make a meaningful impact.
